Cairngorms Nature Strategy Group

The Cairngorms Nature Strategy Group comprises professionals from a range of organisations that have an active role in delivering improved biodiversity in the Cairngorms National Park.
Chaired by a member of the Park Authority board, the strategy group meet three times a year. The aim of the group is to provide strategic leadership, foster collaboration, and ensure the successful delivery of the Cairngorms Nature Action Plan 2027 – 2032.
The specific responsibilities of the group are:
- Strategic leadership and oversight: Provide leadership and ensure the Cairngorms Nature Action Plan aligns with policies; monitor progress and recommend improvements.
- Securing investment: Identify funding opportunities, build relationships with donors, and support funding proposals.
- Connecting and collaborating: Promote partnership working, share resources and knowledge, and avoid duplication.
- Monitoring and reporting: Foster a culture of learning and improvement, applying lessons to enhance efforts.
- Advocacy and public engagement: Lead communications and advocacy around the Nature Action Plan and engage with stakeholders to raise awareness and support.
