This document contains a proposal from the Cairngorms National Park Authority's Staffing and Recruitment Committee regarding a review of Board Member fees. The current policy, introduced in 2017, pays members for three days a month, with adjustments for the Convener and other senior roles. Following a review based on feedback from Board Members, the committee recommends Option B, which sets a 30-day base payment with a potential six-day top-up for additional duties. The policy also includes adjustments for missed meetings and additional commitments. Option B was favored by a large majority of the Board and implementation is proposed from 1 October 2019, along with changes to the meeting calendar. The changes to the calendar aim to reduce the number of meetings, improve efficiency, and make the board more family-friendly.
