Pur­pose

The pur­pose of this site vis­it is to help Plan­ning Com­mit­tee Mem­bers to view the site of the pro­posed raised deck­ing for out­door din­ing, car park­ing and pic­nic tables at the Old Bridge Inn, its con­text and rela­tion­ship to the River Spey pri­or to the applic­a­tion being con­sidered at the Plan­ning Com­mit­tee Meet­ing on 28 August 2026. Inform­a­tion and all accom­pa­ny­ing doc­u­ments relat­ing to the applic­a­tion are avail­able on the Nation­al Park Authority’s website.

Advice and require­ments for the day:

  1. Fol­low the instruc­tions of the Plan­ning Con­vener and the Head of Plan­ning / Devel­op­ment Man­age­ment Man­ager lead­ing the site visit.

  4. Plan­ning Com­mit­tee Mem­bers can travel togeth­er from the Park Author­ity offices in Grant­own-on-Spey or make their own arrange­ments for travel to and from the site vis­it – Com­mit­tee Mem­bers wish­ing to travel from the Park Author­ity offices

should noti­fy the Com­mit­tee Clerks in order that pool car book­ings can be made in advance.

  1. Mem­bers of the pub­lic must make their own arrange­ments for travel to and from the site vis­it and will attend at their own risk.
  2. Meet­ing point will be on site – park­ing is along Dal­faber Road.

09:30 All Com­mit­tee Mem­bers and any oth­er site vis­it par­ti­cipants will assemble at the meet­ing point / applic­a­tion site on Dal­faber Road. The meet­ing point is iden­ti­fied on the loc­a­tion map on the fol­low­ing page and has a what3words ref­er­ence of ///runs.bravo.refilled.

09:35 The Plan­ning Com­mit­tee Con­vener, sup­por­ted by the Head of Plan­ning and the Devel­op­ment Man­age­ment Man­ager, will lead the brief­ing for vis­it and safety briefing.

09:40 All site vis­it par­ti­cipants will view the site, and the Head of Plan­ning / Devel­op­ment Man­age­ment Man­ager will point out rel­ev­ant features.

10:00 Site vis­it ends and plan­ning Com­mit­tee Mem­bers will con­sider the applic­a­tion at the forth­com­ing Plan­ning Com­mit­tee meet­ing on Fri­day 28 August at the Nation­al Park Authority’s offices in Grant­own on Spey.
