Involve - final report C2030 Communities Fund panel

This document contains a summary of how the Cairngorms 2030 Communities Fund was designed through a collaborative process. From March 2025 to June 2026, the Cairngorms National Park Authority partnered with the charity Involve and a co-design panel of 18 people living or working in the National Park area to create a new £1 million grant fund. The goal was to make funding simpler, more accessible, and community-led, empowering local people to tackle climate action across four key themes like landscapes and health. The panel ensured that at least 10% of funds would support projects prioritising equity, diversity, and inclusion, and developed a tiered grant system (small, medium, large) with different application processes. This innovative approach aims to better support community projects within the Cairngorms National Park.
