Com­ment Details Com­menter Type: Neigh­bour Stance: Cus­tom­er made com­ments in sup­port of the Plan­ning Applic­a­tion Com­ment Reas­ons: Park­ing Road access Road safety Comment:We strongly sup­port the devel­op­ment as out­lined in this applic­a­tion but have sig­ni­fic­ant con­cerns regard­ing park­ing and road access/​safety on Cults Drive.

Across the devel­op­ment lies the vil­lage primary school. Par­ents and school employ­ees used to park on the site being redeveloped. Since work has star­ted, they are park­ing on Cults Drive oppos­ite our ser­vice access. As the road is nar­row, this is caus­ing major issues for HGVs need­ing access to the drive, in par­tic­u­lar: 1) Com­mer­cial heat­ing oil deliv­ery 2) Com­mer­cial waste col­lec­tion 3) Com­mer­cial food and drinks deliveries

It may also be envis­aged that res­id­ents and vis­it­ors to the new devel­op­ment might park there, increas­ing congestion.

We hereby seek that the primary school No Park­ing zone on Cults Drive be exten­ded to cov­er our ser­vice access entrance to allow HGVs to man­euver down our ser­vice access — by the empty plot to the SE of the lib­rary. It is noted that there is ample park­ing else­where in the vil­lage, includ­ing a large pub­lic car park.
