A face-to-face event seeking to establish a shared voice for cultural heritage in and around the Cairngorms National Park.

The event has been shaped by a group of nine local people involved in cultural heritage and will feature talks, showcases and conversations.

Please join us to:

  • Explore and describe the Cairngorms National Park cultural heritage landscape
  • Build enthusiasm for collaborative action
  • Develop a shared voice for cultural heritage

Bookings end at 23:59 on 6 October. Tickets must be booked in advance. Spaces at this event are limited and a waiting list is in operation. If you have booked and find yourself unable to attend, for any reason, then please surrender your ticket to enable someone on the waiting list to take the place.

Would you like to display a poster at the event?

Are you from a cultural heritage organisation or project in the National Park that you would like to share information about? There is an opportunity for you to have a poster up for the day in the exhibition space. If you are interested, please email [email protected] by 3 October to request a poster template and space.

Improving how we travel in Aviemore

We are working on design proposals for a safe, separated cycle and walking route between Aviemore town centre and Badenoch and Strathspey Community Hospital. An important part of this is working with people who care about their local area to help them shape the proposals.

We are aiming to include the following:

  • Sections of safe, separated cycle route
  • Pavement upgrades and traffic calming along Grampian Road and Dalfaber Drive
  • Bus stop improvements on Grampian Road

This project has been made possible through the Cairngorms 2030 programme, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Transport Scotland. Construction timescales will depend on available funding.

Cairngorms National Park Authority

The Cairngorms National Park Authority was set up to ensure that the unique aspects of the Cairngorms – both the natural environment and the local communities – are cared for, sustained and enhanced for current and future generations to enjoy. The Park Authority provides leadership to all those involved in the Cairngorms and works in partnership with a range of communities, businesses, non-government organisations and public sector partners to deliver practical solutions on the ground.

Group of six people stood around a table with a map on it, in deep discussion. Behind them are two Park Authority staff stood in front of a large map of the National Park, as well as two pop-up banners to their right.
