Approval for extension to Braemar Caravan Park
Approval for extension to Braemar Caravan Park
An application from Braemar Caravan Park to extend the existing caravan site was approved today, subject to conditions, by the Cairngorms National Park Authority Planning Committee.
The approved development includes the formation of 18 motorhome pitches and six static caravan pitches, the construction of a timber boardwalk linking to an existing path, and associated works and landscaping.
The Planning Committee approved the application, subject to conditions covering matters including landscaping and biodiversity and requiring the installation of passing places on the boardwalk to make it accessible for all users. An additional condition was also added to prevent the static caravans from being occupied on a permanent basis.
The extension will enhance visitor infrastructure within the National Park by increasing provision for motorhome users and will support the long-term resilience of the caravan park by enabling the business to diversify and expand its range of facilities available, contributing positively to the local economy.
