Attention Speyside Way users – bridge closures during May
The Ruthven Bridge, that crosses the River Spey at Kingussie will be closed to all traffic, cyclists and walkers over several days in May while essential works are carried out.
This bridge forms part of the Speyside Way, connecting Ruthven Barracks with Kingussie and therefore walkers and cyclists will be impacted and should avoid the area between 0900-1500 on the following days:
- Wednesday 3 May
- Tuesday 9 May
- Wednesday 10 May
- Monday 15 May
- Tuesday 16 May
The Highland Council has employed contractors to carry out the carriageway and waterproofing works, with pedestrians, cyclists, and dismounted equestrians permitted to cross while the bridge is closed to vehicles. Out with the above noted dates/time, public access across the bridge will be maintained.
