Help keep the Cairngorms tidy
Keep Scotland Beautiful has extended its National Spring Clean to two months this year and the Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA) is offering funding to support clean ups in the Park.
If you are based in the Cairngorms National Park and registered with the 2011 Keep Scotland Beautiful National Spring Clean then you are entitled to apply for a grant of up to £250 to help buy litter pickers, gloves, rubbish bags and safety equipment to support your clean up.
Andy Ford, CNPA Visitor Services Officer, said: “We hope this money encourages more groups to take part in a clean up. Most people take great pride in these wonderful surroundings and know the impact unsightly litter can have on the visitor experience as well as the damaging effect on our precious land and wildlife.”
The National Spring Clean runs until 16 May 2011. For details of clean-ups already planned in the Cairngorms National Park or to register a clean up with the 2011 Keep Scotland Beautiful National Spring Clean, go to the Keep Scotland Beautiful website
Grant application and claim forms can be downloaded here.
