New Deputy Convener for CNPA Planning Committee

New Deputy Convener for CNPA Planning Committee
The Board of the Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA) has elected a new Deputy Convener for the organisation’s Planning Committee.
At a meeting of members in Kingussie (Friday 22 October), Aberdeenshire councillor Bruce Luffman was elected as Deputy Convener of the Planning Committee while Andrew Thin was re-elected as the Committee’s Convener.
Mr Luffman replaces fellow Aberdeenshire councillor Peter Argyll who previously held the position, prior to standing down from the Board of the CNPA in September.
Speaking after the meeting, Mr Luffman said: “I am delighted to be elected as Deputy Convener of the Planning Committee. The Park Authority’s planning function is unique in the UK and is a real opportunity for us to lead the way and establish best practice.”
