Statement on the death of Her Majesty The Queen
Xander McDade, Convener of the Cairngorms National Park Authority, said: “We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen at Balmoral on Thursday 8 September, and we wish to extend our sincerest sympathies to The Royal Family at this difficult time. Her Majesty had a very special connection to the people and nature of the Cairngorms National Park with her long association to Royal Deeside. Her presence at Balmoral each summer will be missed and her loss will be keenly felt by everyone here, as it will across Scotland, the UK and the rest of the world.”
For those wishing to express their condolences, please use the official condolence book on the Royal Family website.
