Travel grant to attend Groundswell 2026
Farmers and crofters in the Cairngorms National Park are being offered funding support to attend one of the UK’s leading regenerative agriculture events this summer.
The Cairngorms 2030 future farming project, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, has launched a travel grant to help farmers and crofters within the National Park attend the Groundswell regenerative agriculture festival at Lannock Farm, Hertfordshire, from 1 to 2 July 2026.
Groundswell brings together farmers, crofters, land managers and industry professionals from across the UK to share ideas and practical experience around regenerative farming. The event includes talks, debates, field demonstrations and opportunities to connect with others interested in regenerative farming practices.
The fund was inspired by positive feedback from a Cairngorms 2030 future farming project participant farmer, Duncan Miller, who attended Groundswell last year and said: “The festival had really good positive energy. There were lots of talks and trials to visit and I came away with new ideas to try to put into practice at home."
Successful applicants will receive a grant contributing towards the costs of attending the event, including event tickets for the two-day festival, return travel by train, bus or mileage contributions, accommodation and subsistence costs.
Funding is limited and applications are encouraged as early as possible.
Applications must be submitted by 4pm on Tuesday, 16 June on this dedicated page of the Cairngorms National Park Authority website.
