David Clyne, Head of Cairngorms 2030
David is the Programme Director for Cairngorms 2030, a pioneering initiative delivering transformational change across the Cairngorms National Park.
David has led the programme from its inception, securing a landmark £12.5 million Heritage Horizons Award from The National Lottery Heritage Fund - the largest landscape-scale funding award ever made by the NLHF. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping the strategic vision and delivery framework for this ambitious, community-driven initiative.
Previously, David served as Outdoor Access and Recreation Manager with the Park Authority, where he worked to uphold access rights, promote responsible recreation, and protect the area’s natural heritage. He brings extensive experience in environmental and land management from roles across the public and third sector, combined with a strong foundation in strategic planning and financial oversight gained during a decade in senior roles within the financial services sector.
