This document contains comments from two local community councils – Aviemore and Vicinity Community Council, and Carrbridge Community Council – regarding a planning application for a new 9-kilometre path for people walking and cycling between Aviemore and Carrbridge. Both councils strongly support the creation of this path. Aviemore and Vicinity Community Council asked for more specific details about certain junctions and crossings along the route, while also welcoming plans for traffic lights where the path meets the A95. Carrbridge Community Council expressed their full support and particularly asked for the section between Carrbridge and Kinveachy to be made a priority and to proceed independently of the main A9 road upgrade works, highlighting how much safer this path will make things for people in the area.
