This document contains important guidelines for visiting the Cairngorms National Park responsibly. To protect the beautiful landscape and its wildlife, visitors are asked not to light bonfires or charcoal barbecues between 1 April and 30 September, using gas or liquid stoves instead. Dog owners should keep their pets on a leash, especially from April to August in areas with ground-nesting birds or near livestock, to prevent disturbance. For wild camping, it's crucial to leave no trace: camp away from roads and buildings, move regularly, and take all litter with you. When needing to use the toilet, go at least 30 metres from water and paths, burying solid waste and packing out toilet paper. Finally, if you're enjoying the water, please respect wildlife and other users by giving them space, particularly in nesting areas.
