Cairngorms National Park Authority statement on the Scottish Governments reporters report on the Local Plan
The Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA) has received the Scottish Government Reporters’ recommendations following the Public Inquiry into the Local Plan, which took place at various locations in the Park this summer. This is an important document looking at a number of key issues including future housing provision in the Park and involved working with and consulting with a number of public bodies, including the four local authorities in the Park, as well as the public.
Duncan Bryden, the CNPA’s planning convener, said: “The Reporters recommendations is a 338 page report which the CNPA is now in the technical process of uploading onto our website. It will be available to view from Wednesday December 16th at the CNPA’s Grantown and Ballater offices or online at www.cairngorms.co.uk
“This is an important report and the CNPA will need time to formulate its response. The CNPA board will consider the report in February and the public will be consulted on any changes the board decide are necessary to the Local Plan in order to respond to the Reporters recommendations.”
