Glebe Ponds are a mini oasis of nature on the edge of Kingussie. A variety of ducks make their home here and in the summer months many species of wetland flowers make a colourful display. An accessible path runs around the ponds, with plenty of benches to rest and enjoy the local nature.
One short, moderate slope links the pavement to the Glebe pond path. The circular pond path is a wide, level path with a firm, smooth surface.

Route description:
- From the pavement, head down the slope to the Glebe Ponds, passing a painted wooden sign on your left. Continue ahead on the path until you come to a larger open area, with a large wooden table and benches on your right.
- Continue following along the path with the pond to your left. There is another bench here that offers views over the water.
- As you continue around the corner, there is the option of taking a grassy path up the slope on your right, which leads to a picnic area with benches and a table, and lovely views over the ponds. Return back to the main path the same way.
- Continue with the pond on your left, passing two more benches with good views of the water.
- You will reach just one junction, where a boardwalk forks off to the right, but follow the main path continuing ahead and back to the first table and benches.
Alternatively you can take the boardwalk, but note the path after the boardwalk is narrow and grassy. - From the table and benches, turn right to retrace your route back to the slope up to the High Street.
