Emily is a Chartered Accountant and Nature Strategy Manager with experience in financial governance, risk management and large-scale nature restoration. She leads programmes that integrate biodiversity enhancement, peatland restoration and woodland creation into major infrastructure projects across the north of Scotland.
Before moving into nature strategy, Emily worked in assurance and audit, developing governance frameworks, scrutinising investment decisions and supporting organisations to manage risk effectively. Emily is passionate about landscape-scale nature recovery and the role it can play in supporting communities, sustainable economic opportunities, and healthy ecosystems.
She has a long-standing connection to the Cairngorms and spends much of her free time hiking, cycling and climbing in the National Park. Her enjoyment of the outdoors has given her a strong appreciation of the Cairngorms’ landscapes, wildlife and communities, and the importance of ensuring they continue to thrive for future generations.
