- The competition is open to people living in the UK over the age of 18 at the closing date midday 6th May 2022.
- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
- The prize is 2 night's stay in a Badaguish camping pod arriving on the 13th May and checking out on the 15th May and a 3-course dinner for 2 at MacDonald Aviemore Resort, choose from their signature restaurant Aspects or Giovanni’s Italian, complimentary bottle of wine included. No alternatives to the prize will be offered.
- All entries must be received by midday 6 May no late submissions will be considered. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
- The language used in the submission must be English.
- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.

- The Speyside Way [Grantown-on-Spey - Cragganmore section]
- CLOSED (diversion in place) - Tom an Uird wood, nr Cromdale The Speyside Way through Tom an Uird wood (NJ 089 307) will be CLOSED WEEKDAYS between June and September while tree felling works take place. The diversion is to follow the unclassified road from Cromdale to Millton. This will add approx. 2 miles to your journey. - There will be no felling works on a weekend and the Speyside Way route through the wood can be used at weekends, although please take extra care and expect timber stacks, vehicles etc. - Felling works commence on 20 May, with the Speyside Way closing on 3 June. - Glenlivet Estate
- CLOSED - Dell Bridge across the River Avon (Nr Tomintoul). This forms part of Walk 7 - West Avonside Path. The bridge suffered damage during the autumn flooding. Update: Glenlivet Estate
- CLOSED - Track to Battle of Glenlivet site. Track which forms part of Walk 4 is blocked with fallen trees between NJ 253 278 and NJ 245 289. It is still possible to access the Battle site via the FLS track from Morinsh car park. Update: Glenlivet Estate
- Ballater
- CLOSED - Seven Bridges Walk - road closures in place on B976 Ballater (The Bridge of Muick) for urgent installation of electrical cables to be carried out on behalf of SSE. This will mean the Seven Bridges Walk is closed at times. Closure from 15 July, expected to last 42 days. Road will be open on 7 to 9 August for the Ballater games and will be open at the weekends where possible, but check local signage and the Aberdeenshire Council website for latest info.
- DIVERSION - Seven Bridges Walk - the riverside loop on the Seven Bridges Walk, between Bridge of Gairn and the junction near Polhollick Bridge is closed due to a section washing away in flooding. An alternate route is already shown as part of the walk route, please use this alternate high route parallel to the A93 instead.
- Dalwhinnie
- CLOSED - Ben Alder level crossing The railway level crossing at Dalwhinnie - at the walkers car park NN 633 846 - has been closed by Network Rail. An alternative point to cross the railway is via the underpass to the south at the Ben Alder cottages (NN 634 841). More information.
- Dalwhinnie waymarked walks: - the Loch Ericht Walk loop is no longer possible due to the level crossing closure - to reach the start of the Forest Walk and Coachan Wood Viewpoint the above diversion to the railway underpass is required
- Glen Doll: Significant storm damage and windblown trees from the winter storms - clearance works underway but still many restrictions and path closures. Check Forest and Land Scotland website for latest updates.
- Glen Doll car park – open
- Waymarked trails – Corrie Fee (Green) trail - open.
- ALL OTHER WAYMARKED TRAILS ARE CLOSED. South Esk trail (Yellow), White Water Trail (White) Jocks Rd and Dounalt Trail (Blue) are all CLOSED due to windblown trees.
- Mountain access routes update - Kilbo path is open, Corrie Fee Path is open, Dounalt Road is open (south side of upper White Water - this is an alternative for Jocks road, which remains closed).
- The Capel Road Track is blocked with trees at OS Grid Ref: NO 2841 7717. This may be bypassed by walking along the forest boundary wall between NO 2834 7763 to NO 2872 7771. Conditions on this alternative route are steep, rocky and rough underfoot.
