Aviemore to host Scots Pine and Rural Development conference

A major two-day conference exploring the contribution of Scots pine to sustainable rural development is taking place in Aviemore this autumn.
The event will explore a variety of themes with major focus on silviculture and one of the main speakers will be Sauli Valkonen from the Finnish Forest Research Institute who will be talking about Scandinavian silviculture systems for Scots pine and the link to wood quality.
