Blairfindy Moor Open Day – Officer Cadet lends a hand
29th July 2004
A new circular walk and the completion of a wildlife hide have marked the first anniversary of an educational moorland project, which is managed by the Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA) on behalf of a range of partners, including The Crown Estate.
A group of officer cadets from the ULOTC have spent the last two weeks constructing a moorland hide where visitors to Blairfindy Moor can watch a wide variety of wildlife, including red grouse, birds of prey and golden plover.
The Open Day allowed members of the public, conservationists, sporting interests and CNPA staff to view the new hide and other projects being undertaken at this particular site.
