Non-statutory guidance: Natural Heritage, Landscape, Cultural Heritage and Renewable Energy

The Local Development Plan 2020 will guide development in the Cairngorms National Park over the period 2020-2025 and into the longer term. In preparation for its adoption, the Cairngorms National Park Authority is producing new Supplementary and non-statutory guidance to support its implementation. Consultation Period: 29 June 2020 - 7 August 2020

Supplementary and non-statutory guidance is being produced to help guide the implementation of most of the Local Development Plan’s (LDP) policies. It’s important to be clear that this is not an opportunity to comment on the policy content of the LDP itself. Neither can the guidance introduce new requirements that are not already part of policy. Rather, the non-statutory guidance aims to provide an explanation and supporting information to help implement the policies of the next LDP. This consultation is therefore an important opportunity for you to influence its content.

Further non-statutory and supplementary guidance will be consulted on later in the year.
