“It’s not too late to enter the Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards”, companies across the Cairngorms National Park are being reminded!
Cairngorms National Park Authority Board (CNPA) Member and 2013 judge, Katrina Farquhar said: “This is a great opportunity for food producers, retailers, caterers, cafes, hotels and restaurants across the Highlands and Islands and the whole of the Cairngorms National Park to have their passion for great local food and drink recognised.”
“It really is an opportunity not to be missed”, said the Aberdeenshire Councillor who is also a member of the Cairngorms Food & Drink Group.
The Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards, sponsored by Gordon & MacPhail, are now in their tenth year and for the second year running the Awards are open to all businesses in the Cairngorms National Park – not just those in the Highland area.
There are 12 categories including the CNPA sponsored Best Marketing Initiative Award, which was won last year by the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. The other award categories are: Best Drink; Best Eatery; Environment; Export; Healthier Food & Drink; Independent Food & Drink Retailer; New Business; New Product; Food & Drink Business Growth; Restaurant of the Year and Young Shining Star.
With some of the best natural produce in the world, the Awards showcase the wide range of food and drink products in the region and the equally diverse profile of businesses from internationally renowned companies to small innovative producers.
The closing date for entries to the prestigious awards is Wednesday 23rd April. More information can be found here: http://hifoodanddrinkawards.com/
