The deadline to lodge views on the new Proposed Cairngorms National Park Local Development Plan is just two weeks away. Responses must be in by Friday 5th July 2013.
This is the last opportunity to respond to the new Plan – which guides the future of built development in the Park – before it is submitted to Scottish Ministers and a Local Plan Examination held.
The Local Development Plan, which has been drafted with the help of communities in the Park, will replace the Cairngorms National Park Local Plan 2010.
Cairngorms National Park Authority Planning Convener, Eleanor Mackintosh, said: “Time is running out for people to give their thoughts on this proposed plan which we think combines the flexibility we need to get good development in challenging economic times, with the high standards you would expect in a National Park.
“It’s been designed to be easy to use and a clear reference for applicants from the very early stages of thinking about how and where to build.
“We’ve listened carefully to communities and the need for the right mix of development to live, work and find services locally, and to protect our spectacular landscape and natural environment.”
Comments can be made via our website at www.cairngorms.co.uk up until Friday 5th July 2013.
The Core Paths Plan, which was adopted in 2010, is also available for consultation during this period. The Cairngorms National Park Local Development Plan is expected to be adopted in 2014
