Share your views on the next Local Development Plan for the Cairngorms National Park

26th August 2024

The next set of surveys have been launched to collect views on issues affecting the people who live and work in the Cairngorms National Park, to inform our next Local Development Plan.

The Local Development Plan, a statutory requirement for the Park Authority, helps guide development in the National Park, including where affordable housing, community facilities and economic development will go.

People who live and work in the National Park can use the dedicated Local Development Plan website to provide feedback on a series of topics that will go live in stages until the end of the year.

The tourism, digital infrastructure and land use, soil and resources surveys are the second set to be launched on the site, and will be open to comments until Friday 4 October.

These surveys follow the historic and cultural heritage, landscape and plan outcomes surveys which were completed in mid August.

The feedback received will be used to inform an Evidence Report, which will be the basis for preparing the first draft of the Local Development Plan in late 2025.

If you have any questions about the Local Development Plan, completing the surveys or would like to share your views over the phone or in writing, please email [email protected]
